Steven and Gloria are a well presented business couple with work and service ethics rarely seen in businesses to date.
Steven’s first job was at the age of 12 working at a delicatessen in his home town of Moranbah. At the age of 20 he was a qualified diesel fitter. But fortunes led him in a managerial path where he successfully managed some well known companies, both private and corporate, for 16 years.
Gloria started her ambitions at the age of 15 working for an accountant’s firm in Mackay. She then transferred her talents to retail for a short time before owning a bread run. After that, Gloria excelled in business becoming the director of a property development firm. With her keen interest in property, Gloria spent 17 years in property management, becoming one of the most liked and respected people in that industry.
Steve and Gloria met 14 years ago and have been married for 12 of them. Between them they have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. They are proud of all their achievements to this date.
In 2015, after putting endless hours and commitment to others, they decided that it was time to start a business of their own. They travelled down the coast and stayed at multiple places to find the right location to start their own adventure. On arriving in Bundaberg, they saw the signs of progression that they witnessed in Mackay & Cairns.
They sold their house and moved to Avoca where they purchased their home for the long term. There was a unique spot available in town where they started to establish their dream business. With Steven’s experience in chemicals and Gloria’s people skills, they combined the two and decided on Cleaning Supplies. Steven always remembered growing up in Mackay there was a retail shop that you could buy bulk cleaning supplies where you could save a lot of money compared to a supermarket.
The Bundaberg Cleaning Supplies business concept has been hugely welcomed with a lot of customers benefiting from the savings, and the level of service has brought about smiles rarely seen in businesses today.
